Privileged users can create multiple projects which are all simultaneously hosted on their Cradle server.

To create a project:

• Highlight the CDS you want to create a project on and choose Project > Create Project… or right-click and select Create Project…:
• Enter the following details
  • Title - Can be up to 40 characters
  • Project Code - A unique alphanumeric 4 character code for the project
  • Project ID - A 6 character Project ID (PID) which is used when assigning unique Project Database IDs (PDUIDs) to each item created in the project, this is optional
  • Schema - The schema to be used for the project. Cradle offers a default schema and a blank schema and the facility for organisations to create their own project templates.
  • Pathname - The directory to hold the project (the chooser button will be disabled if you are creating a project remotely, if this is the case you need to enter the pathname manually)

By default the project you have just created will be shown in the All Project node in the CDS tree. You may choose to create a folder set to store this project in to aid other users to identify the correct project that they need to work on.

Users can access their organisation's projects through an intuitive UI tree structure from where they can launch their project in WorkBench or Web Access.

Projects can be placed in a hierarchical folder tree and assigned attributes to document a Project's purpose, status or any tag meaningful to your organisation. These attributes will aid general users to locate and launch specific projects.

Your project will have been created with an initial user of manager with a password of MANAGER. You can now login to this project and add more users and alter the manager password. Select the project you have just created from the hierarchy and use the context menu to LOGIN and then OPEN in WorkBench. From the Admin menu you can select User Setup.
