Welcome to the Cradle 6.3 Startup Guide

Step One

Creating a new project opens a blank pre-configured project with a default schema, OR you can create a completely blank project, whereby you may define your own schema to suit your project

To create a New Project you must Open Project Manager.

From the Cradle Menu click on Project → Create Project...

Create Project... menu item
Creating a New Project

This produces the Create Project dialog:

Create Project Dialog

Title: The British Car Park Project..

Project Code: BCPP

Project ID: BCPP01

Schema: Default

The Pathname: is the location where you wish to store your project. It can be located anywhere you choose. Ensure you have permissions in the directory where you wish to save the project and that all the users of the project have access to that location. See your Systems Administrator if unsure .

Click on OK.

This will create an empty project based on the default schema.

When you choose to log into your new project, you will need to specify the Project Code you named in the Project code field of the Create Project dialog box. In this case it would be: BCPP.

To log in to the newly created project, from the Project Manager, Click on the newly created project in the left pane and then click on the Open button and select WorkBench. The following login details would be required for the newly Created British Car Park Project:
