Welcome to the Cradle 6.3 Startup Guide

Step Seven

Create User Requirement Document in Document Publisher.

Document Publisher allows you produce documents 'on the fly' from data stored in a Project Database. These documents can show any part of the system that may be needed to be expressed in document form, for phase reviews, baseline points, or any other documents required in the project lifecycle

In the example project, the documentation produced involves creating requirements documentation, functionality reports and architecture diagrams. In addition to this, a final report proves how the project delivers a final product and satisfies the agreed requirements.

To achieve this, open Document Publisher and log into the project using your username, password and project code

Select the template you need

Some example templates have been created for you to use, although you may like to experiment and create your own.

Once logged into Document Publisher, select Generate Document and, in the Select template dialog:

Selecte Template dialog

select Local... and in the Open dialog, select: C:/Program Files/Cradle/help/startup-guide/Examples/CarParkRequirements.doc

Select Template

And then select a location to publish to in the Output Document field. Then click on the Publish Button.

This template is one prepared for you and it generates a document which displays the requirements of this simple project.
