Welcome to the 3SL Cradle-5.7
Evaluation Start-Up

WEBA is a web based collection of templates that link through our in-built webserver to the Cradle Project Database Server. To use WEBA you need Cradle (with WEBA Licences) and Microsoft® Internet Explorer.

Open your Browser to the location of your Cradle Server. If it is installed locally the address would be:

http://localhost:8015

If the server it is located on has a different name it would be:

http://{servername}:8015

The :8015 is the port that the server communicates with. If you require secure access, then the webserver will need to have secure authentication by installing our security certificate on the server where the Cradle Database Server is located and the address would be:

https://{servername}:8016 (note the s in https)

You should then be presented with a login screen:

Internet Explorer log in

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY POP-UP BLOCKERS ON. THIS SITE NEEDS POP_UPS ENABLED TO WORK PROPERLY.

Login to find a Workbench style interface:

WEBA Interface

The tree-view on the left displays the same tree-view as Workbench. The table on the right shows the items selected from the left tree-view. In the example screenshot, a query showing all requirements is displayed in the 'Summary' view .

To open a specific item for viewing, click on the document icon in the left-most column for that item: Item Icon

This shows an item view:

In the DEMO project example shown, the Item, 'Flight Schedule' is displayed .

This is a read/write interface to the Project Database that can be accessed by multiple people in different locations across the internet, across VPN's and through Firewalls.

The Cradle database locks items when they are being used, so that multiple users can all see the items read only, but only 1 person can work on that specific item at once. The benefit of this is that everyone involved in a project can see, at a glance, the state of every item at all times. Unlike a check-in, check out system where users may not be aware of changes to related items of data because they are checked out of a system.

The WEBA interface allows a rapid, secure, co-ordinated, collaborative working environment for dispersed teams across the internet.

For more information on WEBA, please read the WEBA Userguide
