Cradle provides a full lifecycle support framework from requirements capture through model driven systems engineering to implementation, testing and support. Enabling you to develop better projects from concept . . . to creation.

Welcome to the 3SL Cradle-5.7
Evaluation Start-Up

To create a new project you must Open Cradle Menu Open Cradle Menu.

From the Cradle Menu click on Projects => Create Project...

Creating a New Project

This produces the Create Project dialogue

Title: should be anything that makes sense to you. For example if you are a systems engineer running a project to create a new form of zero polluting engine, you may call the project 'Zero Polluting Engine Project'.

Project Code: should be any four characters that make sense to you, so for the zero polluting engine project, you may choose ZPEP, or ZERO, or ZER1, or whatever you may like to call it.

Project ID: this is a six character code that is usually based on the Project Code with a number after. For example if the Project Code is ZPEP we recommend that you use ZPEP01. Any characters not used are defaulted to '_' so if you were to leave this field blank, the system would default to six underscores '______'

Schema:Cradle is shipped with a default schema all ready to use. You may use this schema, edit this schema or create a new schema. For more information on the default schema, refer to your Default Project Schema Guide, located here in the Start Menu:

The Pathname: is the location where you wish to store your project. It can be located anywhere you choose. Ensure you have permissions in the directory where you wish to save the project and that all the users of the project have access to that location. See your Systems Administrator if unsure .

So for the above example: the following settings could be used:

Click on OK.

This will create an empty project based on the default schema.

When you choose to log into your new project, you will need to specify the Project Code you named in the Project code field of the Create Project dialogue box. In this case it would be: ZPEP.

So, to log in to the newly created project, from the Cradle Menu, the following login details would be required:
