Requirements Management, Requirements Capture and Model Based Systems Engineering with Cradle from 3SL
Cradle provides a full lifecycle support framework from requirements capture through model driven systems engineering to implementation, testing and support. Enabling you to develop better projects from concept . . . to creation.

Welcome to the 3SL Cradle-5.7
Evaluation Start-Up

Using WorkBench, open two query panes. In the right pane, open or create a query producing ALL requirements. In the left pane, open or create a query the produces Essential Specifications – Functions. Ensure that both queries are displayed in 'tree view' style.

To create links between requirements and functions from the eFFBD Diagram specifications, drag and drop the requirement onto the function.

Requirements linked to Functions

This produces a hierarchy of linked or cross referenced items. Through this you can control and see how the different sections of the overall system link together.

We encourage you to experiment with this part of this evaluation project. Create links and unlink (right-click => Unlink) these links and see how these changes are reflected in the system.

Steps:

  1. Create a project using the Cradle Menu Done
  2. Capture Requirements from a Microsoft® Word® documentDone
  3. Import Diagrams in Toolset or WorkBench Done
  4. Manually link Requirements to Functions You Are Here.
  5. Produce matrix from Requirements to Functions
  6. Produce matrix from Functions to Architecture
  7. Create User Requirement Document in Document Publisher.
  8. Produce a final document showing links from Requirements to Functions, links from Functions to Architecture and transient links from Requirements to Architecture and the Final Specifications.
