Delivery
Development
The Development phase of the lifecycle should be swift and properly managed, with clear steps and focused tasks.
The previous phases of the SE Process dictate what is developed. The requirements gathering, modelling and feedback should, if properly managed, have already defined the scope, scale and purpose of what should be developed.
Integration
Integration of the new system is not the end of the process, merely the starting point of the physical phase. This should be managed in a logical manner and with minimum interuption to the users routine (allowing for required training).
The integration may involve a staged roll out across various user groups to allow for real-life testing and user feedback.
If the analysis of current systems was accurate then the integration of new systems into existing ones should happen with a minimum of fuss and disruption. If the new system was designed to replace an older system, a staged roll out or a pre-integration training period may be required so that users can come to terms with the new system and move over to using it without delay.
Testing
This is a criticle part of the process. The testing phase should be in depth, logical and systematic. the tests should be devised to test the system under all envisioned applications and in all proposed configurations, any and all failures should be reported and re-tested to see that the results are repeatable and accurate.
