Sorting Linked Items

It is very common to need to see items that are cross referenced to other items, such as the risks that are linked to a set of system requirements. A navigation is used to control which cross references to or from an item will be followed to find the cross referenced items. The navigation acts as a filter on the cross references to/from an item. Navigations are a type of definition in Cradle and can be saved with the same range of scopes ( Personal, User, Team, User Type, Project and System) as all other types of definition.

Navigations have been extended to allow them to specify how the linked items are to be sorted:

  • By attributes of the linked items:
    • Identity (the default)
    • Name
    • Key
    • Group
    • Comment
    • Description
  • By any of the user-defined attributes in the cross references themselves:
