3SL is pleased to announce that we have added a new mechanism to produce Security Code Certificates into our website! This new facility allows you to decode a Cradle Security Code that you have received from 3SL and, if you wish, to print the resulting decode as a certificate for you to keep in your records.
If you login to our website and select the Support link on the main page:
The new facility is accessed through the new Cradle Security Certificate link on the left hand side of the page. Selecting this link produces the web page:
You can copy and paste a Security Code into the web page. Your company name will be automatically added from the details in your login account. You can get the Security Code from an e-mail that you have received from 3SL or your supplier, or you can get it from an installed Cradle system.
On Windows, the Security Code is in the file:
%CRADLEHOME%\c_config.dat
This is typically the file:
C :\Program Files\Cradle\c_config.dat
And on UNIX/Linux systems, it is the file:
$CRADLEHOME/.c_config
Please be careful to NOT change any part of this file! If you do, you can easily prevent your Cradle system from working!
Select the Create My Certificate button in the web page and the Security Code will be decoded and displayed in a new window:
This new window shows the information encoded inside the Security Code, including the number of module and tool licences, the Host ID to which the Cradle system’s Cradle Database Server (CDS) is locked, and the date range where the licences will be active.
If you want to print this certificate for your records, select the Print This Certificate button.
