WorkBench Views in Publisher

Most documents generated by Document Publisher include tables. A new facility allows a tag in a document template to reference a WorkBench query, view and tablestyle. This allows a document to include any display that you can generate in WorkBench, and has two benefits:

You can reuse WorkBench views in output documents

Such tables will generate up to 10 times faster than a table built inside the document template, as they are generated externally as a RTF file that is then included into the output document.

The new mechanism is selected by choosing WorkBench Table in the Create Tag dialogue:

When this tag is chosen, you can specify a query, view and table style to be used:
