Document Loader Extensions
New features have been added to Document Loader to help users to avoid unintentionally failing to capture figures and tables, and to provide extra options for capturing items from paragraphs:
Unassigned Figure/Table Warnings
Document Loader can capture part(s) of Word documents into items that are linked by cross references into a hierarchy corresponding to the document’s sections. Each item is also linked to a bookmark in the Word document containing the paragraph, figure, table, table row or table cell from which the item was captured.
If the document is large, it is easy to start capturing from it without realising that there may be tables or figures that have not been assigned to Cradle items. Any such unassigned figures and tables are not captured. A user may not be aware that they are not capturing all information. To solve this problem, when a user starts to capture, Document Loader displays a warning if there are any unassigned figures or tables in the parts of a document to be captured. It displays similar messages in its Status Bar as parts of the document structure are selected. Capture Identity or Key from Regular Expressions
The Identity or Key attribute of items being captured can be set from that part of a paragraph which either matches a regular expression, or lies within a pair of regular expressions.
To use this feature, open a document, select Options in the Open New Document dialogue, highlight the appropriate paragraph style and double click to display the Style Setup dialogue.
If the Word paragraph style has an outline level under 10, Document Loader will set Usage to be Item Header, so each paragraph with the style will start the capture of a new item. For body text paragraphs (paragraphs whose style is outline level 10), Usage will default to Frame (the paragraphs will not start the capture of a new item) and you must set it to Item Header:

To use the new feature, select RegEx Match in the Style Setup dialogue and set the destination for the matched string as the Identity or Key attribute. Identity will not be available if the item type being captured has auto-numbering set in the project’s schema.
Capture Un-Numbered Paragraphs as Separate Items
Document Loader will now allow body text (paragraphs whose style has outline level 10) to be captured as separate items if the type of item being captured has auto-numbering set in the project’s schema.
To use this facility, double-click the paragraph’s style in the Open New Document dialogue to display the Style Setup dialogue, and change the Usage listbox from Frame to Item Header and do not select any of the other options for paragraph numbering. When you select OK in the Style Setup dialogue, the Item Number Source for the paragraph style will be set to Cradle Auto Number in the Open New Document dialogue.
