Old Version of Office

3SL wishes to discontinue support for Office 2000. This is primarily because new features in the latest Office-based Cradle tools are either very difficult to support with Office 2000 capabilities, or are impossible to support with Office 2000.

In similar announcements in this and previous newsletters we have said we will discontinue support for an operating system or Office version (such as AIX 4 or NT 4 or Office 97) unless we are told that someone still needs it. We have been able to say this as we were quite confident that no Cradle customer with active maintenance was using that particular operating system or product.

However, in this case we are uncertain how many of our existing Cradle users are actually still using Office 2000 and need to continue to use it.
