Opening Specific Items
In WorkBench, the only means to open an item for editing is to either find it in the Master Tree and open it, or to run a query and open the item from the query results. Both methods are slow if you already know the identity of the item that you want to open.
An Open… option has been added to the File pulldown menu so you can open an item specified by its type and identity without running a query from the Open Item dialogue:
The Keep visible checkbox is selected by default, meaning that the Open Item dialogue will remain visible after an item has been opened, so that other items can be opened quickly and easily.
