Old Versions of Solaris

3SL gives notice that unless we receive requests to the contrary from Cradle users, we will drop support for Solaris 2.5.1 starting with the next major Cradle release and will instead support Solaris from version 2.8 (also called Solaris 8) onwards.

We believe that this decision is justified by:

Sun stopped supporting Solaris 2.5.1 some time ago
To our knowledge, no Cradle users on Windows are using Solaris 2.5.1
To our knowledge, no Cradle user plans to start to use Solaris 2.5.1
