AVG Incorrectly Reports Virus

3SL has received reports that some AVG anti-virus products report that the linker.js file in the Cradle web UIs contains one or more viruses or other problems. This is the file that is used to produce the Linker in a Cradle web UI that in turn allows users to manipulate cross references to and from an item.

This is probably because this file generates Javascript code that generates HTML code.

There is NO virus in the linker.js file.

We are working with AVG to try to avoid their product incorrectly reporting that this file contains a virus when it does not.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused.
