Cradle-5.7.0.2 Release Notes

There are 2 new enhancements in the Cradle-5.7.0.2 release:

  1. Two new options have been added to the Owner criterion in queries, so you can find items which, in addition to any other constraints in the query or the user’s access to information, are UNDER_REVIEW or SUPERSEDED. This extension can be used in all places where queries can be applied, including:
    • Toolset
    • WorkBench
    • Web UIs created with the Web Access facility
    • Exports specified by query in Toolset and WorkBench
    • Exports specified by query in the c_io command-line utility
  2. Two new options UNDER_REVIEW and SUPERSEDED have been added to the Whose Data bulk exports from Toolset and WorkBench, that will filter the items being exported in addition to any other constraints in the export options or the user’s access to information.

There are 5 new bug fixes in the Cradle-5.7.0.2 release:

  1. A new encryption algorithm for user passwords was introduced in Cradle-5.7. A bug in the Cradle-5.7 release meant that the passwords in user profiles exported by Cradle-5.6 or earlier releases were not always re-encrypted correctly when imported into Cradle-5.7. This has been fixed.
  2. When a child C of a parent item P was copied with the Inherit cross references option set, the new item N created by the copy was not always linked to the parent P. This has been fixed. This problem did not arise if children of P were always created using the New Child operation.
  3. The Unsubmit operation in WorkBench did not always find all items to be un-submitted from reviews. Particularly in cases where there are multiple instances of items (such as multiple superseded versions), it was sometimes necessary to un-submit the first set of items found and then repeat the Unsubmit operation until no more items to be un-submitted were found. This has been fixed.
  4. If more than 40 diagrams were exported from Toolset or WorkBench by a query-based export, then errors would be logged by the Cradle Database Server (CDS) that would persist for all future diagram-related operations until that session of WorkBench or Toolset was closed. No data was lost from, or damaged in, the database, but the effect could be worrisome and inconvenient. This has been fixed.
  5. Item header information was missing from export log files produced by WorkBench and Toolset. They have been restored.
