There have been some important changes to the platforms that Cradle supports at Cradle-5.7.0.2 and Cradle-5.7:

• Cradle no longer supports HP-UX before HP-UX 11.0
• Cradle-5.7.0.2, as previous releases, only supports HP-UX on the PA-RISC architecture
• Cradle-5.7.0.2, as previous releases, only supports 32-bit versions of Windows
• Cradle-5.7.0.2, as previous releases, only supports Solaris on the Sparc architecture

The platforms supported by Cradle-5.7.0.2 are:

• HP-UX 11.0 or later on PA-RISC
• IBM AIX 5.1 or later on PowerPC
• 32-bit compatible versions and types of Linux
• Sun Solaris 2.8 or later on Sparc
• 32-bit Windows 2000, XP and 2003

Cradle-5.7.0.2 supports all popular web browsers, as did Cradle-5.6, including Safari for the Apple Mac. If you are using Firefox from Mozilla, we very strongly recommend that you upgrade to Firefox 3.0, or a later release.

3SL had intended that support for Office 2000 would be discontinued in 2007. However, based on feedback from customers, Cradle-5.7.0.2 continues to support Office 2000 so that Cradle-5.7.0.2 supports Office 2000, XP, 2003 and 2007. Some features of Cradle tools are not supported in Office 2000 due to limitations in that release of Office.

If you are using Office 2000, please read the section for old versions of Office in this newsletter. 3SL is announcing its intention to remove support for Office 2000 in the next major Cradle release.

Cradle-5.7 does not support Windows Vista. Vista will be supported in a future Cradle release.
