Item Stuck in a Change Task<\/h2>\n

When using the Cradle Configuration Management System<\/em> (CMS) you may come across the ‘Item Not Completed<\/em>‘ message.<\/p>\n

This happens when a Draft<\/em> item associated with a Change Task<\/em> gets deleted. As a result, the lack of the deleted Draft<\/em> item, means the Change Task<\/em> cannot be completed and the item cannot be added to a new baseline<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you have an item stuck in a Change Task<\/em>, fear not, there is a solution!<\/p>\n

Resolving the ‘Item Not Completed’ Warning<\/h2>\n

To resolve the issue where an item is ‘stuck’ in a Change Tas<\/em>k, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Open\u00a0Project Setup<\/em><\/a> and make sure the ‘Disable copying of baseline items<\/em>‘ option is unchecked.\n

  2. In a query select the item shown in the ‘Item Not Completed<\/em>‘ dialog. From the right-click context menu select ‘Copy<\/em>‘ and create a new <\/span>Draft<\/em> of the ‘stuck’ item.

  3. Submit<\/em>, Review<\/em>, Registe<\/em>r the newly created Draft<\/em> item as necessary until it is in a Baseline<\/em>, then close the Baseline<\/em>.
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The\u00a0‘Item Not Completed<\/em>‘ message should no longer show and it should now be possible to Complete<\/em> the Change Task<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If required, re-enable<\/span> the ‘Disable copying of baseline items<\/em>‘ option in Project Setup<\/em> which was disabled in step 1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
