Company Templates<\/h2>\n

Does your company use different types of\u00a0Microsoft\u00ae Word template<\/em> for different types of document? Did you know that you can use those company templates<\/em> inside Document Publisher<\/em>?<\/p>\n

Document Publisher<\/em> has different locations you can save the files to but it can also open files from outside these locations as well. These files will then be shown as ‘local’<\/em> and can then be edited in Document Publisher<\/em>. Once you are happy with the company template<\/em> it can be saved to any one of the locations the user has access to within Cradle<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Loading an External Template<\/h2>\n

Select the File<\/strong> menu and then New<\/strong>, then From Existing Template<\/strong> and select the template type the user wishes to open. Once the Template dialog<\/em> opens, click the Local..<\/em>. button.<\/p>\n

This will then open explorer in which the user can then locate and open the file they require.<\/p>\n

This will then open the file named as NewTemplate<\/em> and not as the name of the file you have opened from. Once you have added at least one tag, Document Publisher<\/em> will allow you to save the template<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Saving a File<\/h2>\n

The first is to select the File<\/strong> menu and Save,<\/strong> then the Template dialog<\/em> opens, the user can either save it to one of the locations they can access or as below, select the Local…<\/strong> button and rename and save it through Explorer<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This will then save the file to that location and show in Document Publishe<\/em>r as (Local<\/em>).<\/p>\n

This file when finished can then be saved into a Cradle<\/em> location e.g. Project<\/em> so it can then be published through WorkBench<\/em>. To do this the user will click the File<\/strong> menu and then Save<\/strong> and when the Template dialog<\/em> opens, select the Location<\/em> the user requires and change the name they want the file to have.<\/p>\n

This will now show it is saved in the project location. This can be done to any location the user has access to.<\/p>\n
