Obviously, if you are wanting to upgrade from one major release to another e.g. 6.n to 7.n\u00a0 a new code will be needed. You would also need a code from one <em>Cradle<\/em> point version to another, for example Cradle-7.2 to 7.3<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2712\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2712\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2712 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threesl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/config_file-300x211.png\" alt=\"shows the contents of a configuration file\" width=\"300\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.threesl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/config_file-300x211.png 300w, https:\/\/www.threesl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/config_file.png 607w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2712\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Configuration File<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The other case is when moving your <em>Cradle Database Server (CDS)<\/em>. If you have changed, or are planning to change your server there are two main points to consider and these are discussed below.<\/p>\n<h3>Has Your Machine&#8217;s MAC Address Changed?<\/h3>\n<h4>Yes<\/h4>\n<p>If the <em>MAC address<\/em> on your new machine is different from you old machine, then yes, you will need a new <em>Cradle Security Code<\/em>.
