3SL has released Cradle-7.0.6 with a number of minor modifications and bug fixes. A more prominent feature of this release is a method to view RTF content through Web Access. Prior to this release, RTF content that was added to an item through WorkBench was not available for viewing in a Web Access form. This addition converts the RTF content to either PDF or HTML providing a read only view of the content in Web Access. It is accomplished through a conversion process that allows you to show the content in a custom web form or view. Read more about the tags and converters available for Web Access custom forms and views.
Document Publisher provides a new mechanism for creating section headings in your output document – the heading tag. This tag generates headings and automatically applies an appropriate style to create a hierarchy of sections and subsections in the output document. Full control is provided at each row of your hierarchy to give unbridled flexibility in heading definition. Read through an example or contact us for a demonstration.
3SL will be offering a Document Publisher Workshop January 12, 13 at our Huntsville location. This workshop will cover selected training sections for general and advanced Doc Pub. Interspersed with the training will be hands on creation of and consulting for your Doc Pub templates. Bring your sample outputs and list of needed formats and leave with developed and tested templates. The workshop is only $500 per seat. Email or call to reserve your seat.
As we near the year’s end, many consider charitable giving. Throughout November and December, 3SL will occasionally tweet the favourite charity of a 3SL staff member. These will represent a variety of organizations and 3SL’s goal is not to endorse any particular group over another but to provide a reminder to consider others and share a bit of what is important to those answer your technical questions, write up quotes and code your feature requests.
