DEMO Evaluation Security Code

Select the Platform and Cradle Variant below to create a temporary 14 day evaluation licence (maximum three allowed)

Cradle for Windows®

  1. Click the "Download" button and save the file.
  2. Click the "Security Code" button on the right and get a temporary 14 day licence.
  3. Double click the Cradle70_Setup.exe file so it unpacks into:
    c:\Temp\CradleSetup
  4. Download the Windows Installation Guide (optional)
  5. Open c:\Temp\CradleSetup in Windows Explorer
  6. Right click on setup.exe and run as Administrator
  7. Use the default options for all steps and enter the Security Code when asked for it

Cradle for Linux

  1. Click the "Download" button and save the file.
  2. Click the "Security Code" button on the right and get a temporary 14 day licence.
  3. Download the UNIX Installation Guide (optional)
  4. As root, unpack the three files from Cradle70_Setup.tar.gz file, such as in: /tmp:

    mv Cradle70_Setup.tar.gz /tmp
    cd /tmp
    gzip -d Cradle70_Setup.tar.gz
    tar xf Cradle70_Setup.tar

  5. Define the CRADLEHOME environment variable and create a Cradle installation directory somewhere, such as /opt/cradle:

    CRADLEHOME=/opt/cradle ; export CRADLEHOME
    mkdir $CRADLEHOME

  6. Unpack the boot fileset:

    cd $CRADLEHOME
    tar xf /tmp/boot


  7. Run the installation scripts, when loading filesets, specify from files in /tmp or wherever you saved the filesets:

    cd install
    ./initialise
    ./load
    ./install

SHA512 Checksums for all files

This file contains SHA512 checksums for the files that can be downloaded from this page. You can generate a SHA512 checksum on Linux using the sha512sum command. For example:

sha512sum Cradle70_Setup.tar.gz

Compare the output to the contents of the sha512.txt file from this page.

MD5 Checksums for all files

This file contains MD5 checksums for the files that can be downloaded from this page. You can generate a MD5 checksum on Linux using the md5sum command. For example:

md5sum Cradle70_Setup.tar.gz

Compare the output to the contents of the md5.txt file from this page. The md5sum utility is available for Windows from various websites on the Internet.

Cradle Toolsuite for Windows®

This file contains the Cradle tools to integrate Cradle with Microsoft Office®. This file is part of the Cradle for Windows download and is installed when Cradle is installed. You only need this file to add support for Office to a Cradle installation and the full Cradle installation file is not available.

This file is installed in the same way as the Cradle for Windows download.
