Systems Engineering Glossary

Contains a list of the terminology used in requirements management, systems engineering and V&V (validation and verification), including terms used in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). Baseline, Requirements
A snapshot in time representing the current agreed-upon, reviewed, and approved set of requirements for a specific product release.
Business Requirement
A high-level business objective of the organisation that builds a product or of a customer who procures it.
Business Rule
A policy, guideline, standard, or regulation that defines or constrains some aspect of the business.
