Systems Engineering Glossary

Contains a list of the terminology used in requirements management, systems engineering and V&V (validation and verification), including terms used in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). Cradle Glossary

Web Access

The Web Access module (WEBA) allows users access to Cradle databases by directing their web browsers to a Cradle Web Server (CWS). This allows the user to gain access from anywhere on the LAN, WAN or across the Internet.

Web Publisher

The Web Publisher tool (WEBP) allows users to publish sections of their Cradle databases as fully hyperlinked websites.

Work Breakdown Structure

A Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a collection of items of a user-defined type of system note that collectively represent the work in a plan.

WorkBench

WorkBench is Cradle's primary systems engineering tool interface that allows users to customise exactly what he needs to view and manipulate in the database in the format he wishes to output it.

Workflow

A workflow is defined to be a set of steps performed by one or more users that collectively achieve a desired end result upon one or more items in a Cradle database.
